As a lifelong photographer, the coastal West and its ruggedly beautiful scenery serves as the main inspiration for my work. My photography focuses on the idea of giving permanence to the impermanent, of capturing my unique perspective at a moment in time that has never before and will never again exist.

A Week at the Icy Ends of the Earth

The black silhouettes of trees, shifting sea ice, and an desolate tundra dominated by distant mountains were my first introduction to the unforgiving state of Alaska as my flight descended into Anchorage.
